"One Early Morning," a post-war refugee drama, presented by the United Service for New Americans.First broadcast July 16, 1947, on WNYC, "Early One Morning" focused on the hardships of Holocaust survivors trying to rebuild their lives in America, while families and friends -- both dead and alive -- remained an ocean away. Set on the piers of New York, the drama bridged these two worlds, while making a plea for organizations such as the United Service for New Americans and their struggle to bring refugees to our shores.
